2021 New Maruti Suzuki Celerio Is Finally Launched

Maruti Suzuki has now introduced to the public the 2nd Celerio hatchback in India. The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio has valued at around Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Celerio comes in four trim levels: LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+.

The Celerio is now slightly more expensive than the WagonR, with prices starting from Rs 4.93 lakh to Rs 6.45 lakh, and it also comes with a larger 1.2-liter engine. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Santro costs between Rs 4.77 lakh and Rs 6.45 lakh, the Tata Tiago costs among both Rs 5 lakh and Rs 6.93 lakh*, and the Datsun Go is priced between Rs 4.03 lakh and Rs 6.51 lakh.

Exterior details

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio is now sustained by the modular Heartect platform that’s participated with other Maruti hatchbacks like the WagonR, Swift, and the Baleno. The new Celerio is also bigger than its precursor and measures mm in length, mm in range, mm in height, and has a wheelbase of mm. While the length and height are analogous to the gregarious model, the new model is 55 mm wider, while the wheelbase is 10 mm longer. The new Celerio’s ground concurrence stands at 170 mm, 5 mm advanced than ahead.
In terms of design, too, the new Celerio is a complete departure from the gregarious model. The quadrate and angular design of the first- word is replaced by smooth fluid angles and a more rounded design. The face is characterized by round-looking headlamps, with a chrome strip running through a recently designed tulle. The frontal cushion is well-carved, featuring black differing trim and round fog lights.

In profile, the new Celerio gets body-colored sect and lift-type door handles as opposed to the pull-type bones seen on the gregarious model. It also gets a larger glasshouse and a tapering roofline. Especially, the new Celerio lifts on darkened 15- inch amalgamation bus on advanced variants. The hinder profile is rather simple, featuring rounded taillights and a well-contoured cushion.

Interior 

Just like the surface, the innards of the new Celerio have been fully revamped. The highlight is the new 7- inch touchscreen with Maruti’s SmartPlay Studio system, a first for the Celerio. The touchscreen is adjoined by perpendicular AC reflections on either side. The cabin has an each-black theme but is varied well with dummy aluminum accentuations on the steering wheel, AC reflections, and center press.

There’s also a sense of familiarity as the steering wheel and instrument cluster are participated with the WagonR, while the arrangement of the power window buttons on the center press is analogous to the S-Presso. Interior space has also bettered over its precursor as the auto has grown in overall confines.

Features

In terms of features, the new model gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button launch/ stop, electrically malleable external rearview glasses, crucial entry, voice recognition, bus up/ down for motorist’s window, steering-mounted controls, 6040 hinder split seats, and more. Still, the Celerio gets homemade air exertion indeed on its top-spec trim, whereas rivals like the Tata Tiago get bus AC. Safety features on the new Celerio include binary airbags, ABS with EBD and boscage help, hinder parking detectors, speed-sensitive door cinch, and indeed hill hold help for the automatic variants.

Maruti says fuel efficiency car in India

Maruti Suzuki claims that the new Celerio has the loftiest energy effectiveness figure of26.68 kpl in its class (VXi AMT variant). The ZXi and ZXi AMT deliver 26kpl, LXi gives25.24 kpl, and the VXi, ZXi, and ZXI MT give24.97 kpl. These numbers have been vindicated by ARAI.

For reference, the alternate most energy-effective auto after the Celerio is Maruti’s own Dzire AMT with an energy frugality of24.12 kpl (ARAI claimed).

New 1.0-litre DualJet Engine & Transmission

The 2nd-gen Celerio is powered by the new K10C DualJet1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol motor with an idle launch/ stop system. Apropos, this motor is actually the naturally aspirated interpretation of the one seen on the now- discontinued Baleno RS. This motor produces 67hp and 89Nm of necklace, making it 1hp and 1Nm less important than the gregarious model. Anticipate further Maruti Suzuki models to come with this motor in the future.

The motor comes slept to either a 5- speed manual or a 5- speed AMT gearbox. The AMT gearbox is offered on all but the base LXI trim.
