BMW F 850 GS, F850 GS Adventure, and F 900 XR are now available in India

BMW Motorrad has released not even one, but 3 motorcycles in one fell swoop! BMW Motorrad has added three new bikes to its adventure portfolio, beginning with the F 850 GS, which is priced at Rs 12.50 lakh, followed by the F 850 GS Adventure, which is priced at Rs 13.25 lakh, and finally, the F 900 XR, which is priced at Rs 12.30 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The Bavarian bike manufacturer has confirmed that delivery of all three models will begin in June 2022.

The BMW F 850 GS is returned to the Indian market 2 years after it had been discontinued due to the implementation of BS6 standards. The F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure both are powered by an 853cc parallel-twin engine with produces 93bhp at 8250rpm & 92Nm of torque – a 4.5bhp and 6Nm boost over the previous model. The F 850 GS will only be available in Pro trim with Racing Blue Metallic paint scheme, whilst the Adventure will be available in two colors: Kalamata Metallic Black and Black Storm Metallic.

The motorbike is supported by a bridge-type frame and hangs off 43mm USD forks up front and just a mono-shock with rebound & preload adjustability at the rear. Suspension travel at the front and back is 230mm and 215mm, respectively. The F 850 GS has a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Front braking is handled by 305mm floating twin discs and floating dual-piston calipers, and rear braking is handled by a 265mm disc with a single-piston caliper.

ABS, stability control, two riding modes (Road & Rain), adjustable levers, an onboard computer, and a 12V power connection are among the standard features of the F 850 GS. A 6.5-inch TFT cluster, smartphone connectivity, traction control, three riding modes (Enduro, Pro, and Enduro Pro), electronic suspension adjustability, a keyless system, and other choices are provided as options.

The BMW F 900 XR has been refreshed for 2022 with a drop in costs. Presently accessible just in the Pro variation, the F 900 XR has become more reasonable by Rs 10,000.
