Hyundai finally launched the Alcazar SUV, with a starting price of 16.3 lakh rupees (Ex-showroom). Based on Creta, Alcazar offers three trim levels, six or seven-seat layouts, and two engine options. – Engine & Transmission Comparison-

Hyundai Alcazar has two engine options: 2.0-liter MPi gasoline (159 hp peak power and 191 Nm peak torque) and 1.5-liter diesel U2 CRDi (115 peak power hp and 250 Nm maximum torque). Both engines have 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT torque converter options.

The Tata Safari uses a single 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine (170 hp peak power and 350 Nm peak torque), which can be combined with a 6-speed MT. Or 6-speed HV torque converter.

Under the hood of the Mahindra XUV500 is a 2.2-liter mHawk155 diesel engine that produces 155 horsepower. Maximum power and maximum torque of 360 Nm. The motor can be connected to a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT torque converter.

The MG Hector Plus has three engine options: 1.5-liter turbo gasoline (143 hp peak power and 250 Nm peak torque), 1.5-liter turbo gasoline hybrid (143 hp peak power and 250 Nm maximum torque), and 2.0-liter diesel (170 CV maximum Power and 350 Nm maximum torque). Although a 6-speed MT is standard on all engines, the 1.5-liter gasoline turbocharger has additional automatic DCT and CVT options.

In terms of size, all the SUVs here are around 4.5 meters. However, the longest is MG (4,720mm), and Hyundai (4,500mm) is the shortest in this comparison. Tata Safari is the widest (1,894 mm) and tallest (1,786 mm) in the batch. In both respects, it beats the Mahindra XUV500 with a width of 1,890 mm and a height of 1,785 mm.

However, the new Hyundai Alcazar has the longest wheelbase (2,760 mm), which is 10 mm larger than its nearest competitor, the MG Hector Plus. Finally, all high-spec SUVs here are equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels.

– 4 SUV Features –

All four vehicles are equipped with touch-screen infotainment systems with connected car technology, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Although MG equipped Hector Plus with smart, Hyundai provided BlueLink in Alcazar. Safari comes with iRA, and Mahindra XUV500 comes with Mahindra Blue Sense.
