What we know so far about the debut of the Mini Cooper SE in India
All of Cooper’s original design aspects, such as the circular LED headlights, Union Jack-themed LED taillamps, and, of all, that iconic profile, have been kept.
There are many notable differences, like the blacked-out front grill with a new ‘E’ symbol, a significantly reprofiled front bumper, a reworked rear bumper that no longer has to house exhausts, and yellow accents just on door mirror caps the wheels. Speaking of that, the Cooper SE’s unique wheel design is made to mimic a British plug socket. Also, it stands 15mm higher than that of the combustion-engined variant to provide for battery pack clearance.
In India, the Cooper SE will be available in 4 color options: White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey, and British Racing Green.

Mini Cooper SE India: powertrain and charging:
The Cooper SE has been improved to observe a harmony between an adequate city driving reach and wanted degrees of execution, which brings about a WLTP-confirmed scope of 235-270km. Scaled-down says the Cooper SE is able to do quick charging from 0-80 percent shortly by means of a 50kW charge point, while an 11kW divider box can charge it from 0-80 percent quickly 150 minutes – or 210 minutes on a full charge.
A Cooper SE is powered by a 32.6kWh battery that is positioned in a T-shape beneath the passenger seat and provides 184 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. Only the front wheels receive power, resulting in a 0-100kph time of 7.3 seconds and a peak speed of 150kph. The Cooper SE has four driving modes: Mid, Sport, Green, and Green+, and the engine is shared with the BMW i3 hatchback.
