Near Bengaluru, a new race track is being built

On the outskirts of Bengaluru, Infratech Developers is building a whole new race circuit. This racetrack, which will be located in Chitradurga, will be 170 kilometers from Bengaluru and will take approximately 3 hours to reach. The track is located in a valley, hence the name ‘The Valley Speedway,’ and this provides a fantastic series of elevation changes, with the circuit going from an 18m ascent to an immediate 10m descent in the span of two corners, all while being gorgeous and attractive.

The track is being built on a 53-acre plot of property that Infratech Developers has previously purchased. Work on the race circuit began in November 2021, and dirt for off-road and rally events has already been laid out.

The new race track will be designed by Hermann Tilke’s team, who have previously designed circuits such as Yas Marina, Bahrain International Circuit, COTA, Sochi Autodrome, and even the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. This track will be 2.4 kilometres long and at least 12 meters wide throughout, with a few portions measuring up to 17 meters wide.

This track will join the race tracks currently under construction throughout India, including Nanoli Speedway near Pune, CoASTT near Coimbatore, Pista Motor Raceway near Hyderabad, and the Marque One in Anantapur, in paving the way for the future of motorsports in India and bringing the total number of current and upcoming race tracks throughout the country to eight.
