BMW India is preparing for just a couple of interesting launches a year, and it is the electric i4, which is expected to arrive soon. However, the Bavarian automaker has now launched the X4 Silver Shadow Edition, with prices starting at Rs 71.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The X4 Silver Shadow Edition is available in both petrol and diesel types, with the latter costing Rs 73.90 lakh. This new model costs Rs 1.4 lakh more than the standard X4, which costs Rs 70.50 lakh.
Design changes for the 2022 BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition:
The Silver Shadow Edition adds a high gloss chrome finish to the kidney grille surround and mesh, bumper inlays, and exhaust pipes. The special edition comes in three exterior colors: Carbon Black, Phytonic Blue, and Alpine White. Other design elements, such as the slimmer LED headlights, wrap-around LED taillights, and 20-inch M design alloy wheels (now in a diamond-cut finish rather than gloss black), remain unchanged.
Interior and features of the 2022 BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition:
The X4 Silver Shadow Edition has dual-tone ‘Vernasca’ mocha and black leather upholstery on the interior. Aside from it, no modifications have been made to the cabin’s appearance or layout when compared to the Black Shadow Edition.
The X4 Silver Shadow Edition retains the standard X4’s item list, which includes BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 12.3-inch instrument display, a head-up display system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW Operating System 7, adaptive LED headlights, iDrive, 3D navigation, parking assistant, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, cornering brake control, stability control, traction control, and BMW’s personal assistant among others.
The engine and transmission of the 2022 BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition are as follows:
The new X4 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine (xDrive 30i) with 252hp and 350Nm, as well as a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder diesel engine (xDrive 30d) with 265hp and 620Nm. Two engines are standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive technology.
