The launch price of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is Rs. 7.99 lakh

The new Maruti Suzuki Brezza, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.99 lakh, has finally arrived after much anticipation. The new Brezza is offered in three main trims, which are further separated into other versions, and has visual and technical improvements over the older-generation model. Over 45,000 reservations have been made for the new Brezza, claims Maruti Suzuki.

The Brezza’s starting price has risen by Rs 15,000 over its predecessor to Rs 7.99 lakh, while the top-spec ZXi+ AT variant is more than Rs 2.5 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model. The Brezza ZX+ AT DT costs Rs 13.96 lakh, which is more than the top-end versions of all of its petrol-powered competitors, including the Sonet (Rs 13.19 lakh), the recently revised Venue (Rs 12.57 lakh), the popular Nexon (Rs 12.39 lakh), and even the XUV300 (Rs 13.06 lakh).

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift features a new slimmer, dual projector LED headlights and tail lamps, a reworked front grille with updated foglamp housings, modified bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Overall, the Brezza facelift retains its boxy shape but appears new when compared to the previous model.

Maruti Suzuki also provides two customization options for the new Brezza, Terrascape, and Metroscape, based on the customer’s usage. The exterior color choices for the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will be Exuberant Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Magma Grey, Splendid Silver with black roof, Sizzling Red with black roof, and Brave Khaki with Pearl Arctic White roof.

Interior and specifications of the New Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The inside of the Brezza facelift is changed in the same way as the exterior, with a new 9.0-inch floating infotainment system with smartphone connection, navigation, and over 40 connected car capabilities such as locking/unlocking the Brezza with a wristwatch, dual-tone finish, and more.

The largest interior update is, of course, the electric sunroof, a first for Maruti Suzuki, and the Head-Up Display (HUD) device, which debuted with the Baleno. Rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, a cooled glove box, ambient lighting, push-button start, and ventilated seats are other pleasant features.

In terms of mechanical and powertrain improvements, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will maintain its 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which produces 103 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque. A conventional 5-speed manual transmission will be available, as well as a new 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

The 2022 Brezza makeover includes new safety measures

With the Brezza facelift, Maruti Suzuki has increased safety by including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC as standard, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a 360-degree camera, and hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors, seatbelt warning, and a high-speed alert, among other features. Maruti Suzuki is aiming for a 5-star safety rating for the Brezza, while its nearest competitor, the Tata Nexon, already has a 5-star rating.
