The Triumph Trident 660 was introduced in April 2021 at a starting price of $695,000. (Ex-showroom). Despite a price change for other Triumph motorcycles in India, as well as price rises across the industry in the last six months, Triumph Motorcycles India noted in a statement that the Trident 660 has been sold at the original price since launch.
The Triumph Trident 660 was introduced last year and is the company’s most economical naked motorbike. It has a 660cc inline-triple engine that produces 81hp and 64Nm of torque. A 6-speed transmission is standard on the bike, and a bi-directional quick shifter can be added as an option.
It has ride-by-wire technology, which allows for two riding modes (Road and Rain) and switchable traction control, as well as a completely digital instrument cluster with a Bluetooth module. The Triumph Trident 660 comes in four color schemes and comes with a 16,000km service interval and a 2-year/unlimited-kilometer guarantee.
During our testing, we found the Trident 660 to be a really pleasant bike to ride, with enough power to appeal to riders who are making the transition to multi-cylinder bikes. Following the price increase, the Trident 660 is now significantly more expensive than the Kawasaki Z650 (Rs 6.24 lakh), but still considerably less expensive than the Honda CB650R (Rs 8.68 lakh).
